Hat's off to Barbara Johnson! The final total for her Alzheimer's Benefit was $10,050. She realized her goal and wants to thank everyone who made it possible. Barbara is returning to New Hampshire and her shop in Enfield will be open by appointment in Mid-May. June 7th is the date set for her Open House and Sale at the lake. Baker and Company (Tom and Shelia) will share in this event. For more information call Barb at 602-677-5686,

Another May opening will be Jim and Sue Mulder's shop, Liberty Hill Antiques, in Reading Vt. Jim specializes in early woodworking tools and Sue is known for her beautiful handmade lampshades. To contact them for shop hours call 802-484-7710.

Rick Fuller's Barn Shop will also have a May opening. Rick tells me his shop in South Royalton will be open the first weekend of every month (Thursday to Sunday) from May to October from 10 am to 4 pm. He said people can always call him to arrange for off hours visits to his shop. He suggested people use his website for directions. www.rickfullerprimitives.com. At other times you can find him at shows. His phone number is 802-299-5288.

May brings us the beginning of all those Brimfield Shows. The Vermont Tent is brimming over with Vermont Dealers and can be found at Green Acres from May 10th to May 17th. I hear very good reports about sales and good fellowship. Isn't that what this is all about.

VADA's Spring meeting will be held at the Middlebury Inn in Middlebury, Vt. MAY 31st.

Program to be announced. Up for discussion is the Ivory Bill which can have a great impact on the antiques world. For details contact Greg Hamilton at 802-877-3359 or 802-989-1158.

VADA will soon have a new webmaster for their website. Brian Bittner will be assuming that responsibility. Our thanks go to Wynne Patterson for her years of dedication to VADA's website and directories.

To check out the latest VADA doings call up the site www.vermontantiquesdealersassociation.com

Brian lives in Burlington, Vermont and can be reached at 802-272-7527.

The show committee met at Mike and Lucinda Seward's home in Pittsford and plans are well underway for VADA's 42nd Annual Antiques Show. Show dates are Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st. The show will return to the Union Arena in Woodstock. For more information contact Greg Hamilton at 802-877-3359 or 802-989-1158.
